About the Choirs

There are four curricular choirs at West. Varsity Chorus is an entry level 9-12 non-auditioned mixed choir. Treble choir is an auditioned 10-12 women's group, and Masters/Jazz is an auditioned mixed group of 24-26. The flag ship ensemble is the Concert Choir.

The Waukesha West High School Concert Choir is an auditioned group of tenth through twelfth grade students that rehearses daily. The choir performs a broad range of music, focusing on
a cappella literature, and has toured extensively in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. They have participated in many choral festivals including the Carroll College Vocal Arts Festival, the Carthage Festival and the Lawrence Viking Festival. The Concert Choir has performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, MYSO, and the Waukesha Symphony on several occasions. An album with Delta Records was recognized as the 2006 Outstanding Recording of the Year. A part of a large cooperative music department, the Concert Choir frequently performs with the Waukesha West Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble.
